- The International Energy Agency stated in its monthly oil market report that the increase in refined oil product exports from major Middle Eastern oil-producing countries reflects a recovery in refining activities in the region, with crude oil processing volumes expected to rise in the fourth quarter.
- In September, Middle Eastern refined oil product exports increased by 210,000 barrels per day to 1.9 million barrels per day; liquefied petroleum gas exports rose by 90,000 barrels per day to 670,000 barrels per day. Before the conflict, these figures were 4.7 million barrels per day and 1.5 million barrels per day, respectively.
- The export growth rates of refined oil products and liquefied petroleum gas from the Middle East remain lower than that of crude oil, and the export volumes are still less than half of pre-conflict levels.
- Kuwait's refinery produces intermediate distillates that meet Euro 5 standards, serving as an important source of supply for Europe, and there are recent signs of improvement in its operating conditions.
- Regarding the Al-Zour refinery, the International Energy Agency stated that according to reports, all three crude distillation units at the plant are now in operation; however, export flows are still far below the theoretical export level corresponding to an approximately 60% capacity utilization rate.
- As for Bahrain's Sitra refinery, the International Energy Agency noted that preliminary maritime trade data show a continued increase in refined oil product exports in recent weeks, though exports still mainly remain limited to intra-Gulf regional trade.
