Nvidia and Cisco confirm donations to the Trump Banquet Hall project

According to CNBC, NVIDIA and Cisco confirmed on Thursday that they have donated millions of dollars to the renovation project of Trump’s White House banquet hall. A NVIDIA spokesperson stated, “As an American company, our support for the United States is vital and independent of any commercial interests.” According to The Washington Post, Amazon, Palantir, ServiceNow, Meta, and Microsoft also donated millions of dollars each. Both Cisco and ServiceNow confirmed separate donations of $5 million each. NVIDIA and Apple each pledged $25 million to the project, making these among the largest contributions. Donations were transferred through a nonprofit trust, and donors receive a commitment form for contributions to the "Donald J. Trump Banquet Hall." U.S. lawmakers and experts have repeatedly questioned donations to the project and called for the disclosure of private donors. Some have also expressed concerns about the potential impact these pledges could have on policy decisions or the awarding of federal government contracts.
