KKR to Sell Infinity Transportation to Ares Management Funds for $2.9 Billion

07:17 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- KKR (KKR) signed a definitive deal to sell railcar and intermodal equipment lessor Infinity Transportation to Ares Management's (ARES) Ares Infrastructure Equity and Ares Insurance Solutions funds for an enterprise value of about $2.9 billion, the companies said Monday. The sale is expected to close in Q1 2027, and Ares said it plans to use its infrastructure investing capacity and capital to back Infinity's management, fleet growth and customer relationships in North America after the acquisition.
