08:57 AM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Wednesday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) down 0.7% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) 0.3% higher. Philip Morris International (PM) stock was down more than 2% after the company cut its 2026 adjusted earnings per share guidance.
