04:34 PM EDT, 10/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Maplebear (CART), which does business as Instacart, is weighing a potential sale and has held preliminary discussions with Uber (UBER) and DoorDash (DASH), The Information reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter. A potential deal could value Instacart at about $16 billion to $17 billion, accounting for a 30% to 40% premium typical of takeover transactions, according to the report. Discussions are ongoing and that there is no guarantee that a deal will be formalized, The Information said. An Instacart spokesperson declined to comment, while Uber and DoorDash did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
