Reuters, October 27 - Hotel operator Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc (HLT.N) on Tuesday raised its annual room revenue growth forecast, expecting stable U.S. travel demand to support growth across its hotel portfolio.
Despite persistent inflation and geopolitical turbulence, including conflict in the Middle East, leisure travel demand has remained resilient. In the current quarter, affluent consumers have continued to pay for luxury experiences, while demand for mid-range and economy hotels has also improved.
Business travel has also remained strong, benefiting hotel operators such as Hilton.
According to data from the US Travel Association, tourism spending in August was up 2.5% year-on-year.
This quarter, Hilton’s luxury hotel brands Waldorf Astoria and LXR saw revenue per available room (revPAR) increase by 13.9% and 14.3%, respectively.
The McLean, Virginia-based company expects revenue per available room—a key accommodation metric reflecting daily room rates and occupancy—for fiscal 2026 to grow by 4% to 4.5%, up from a prior forecast of 3% to 3.5%.
