As part of our ongoing efforts to keep compliant with Japanese regulations, we have made the decision to cease offering our services to residents of Japan. As a result, we will begin phasing in restrictions on the accounts for residents of Japan. New registrations for residents of Japan will not be accepted after August 3, 2026.

If you received a notification regarding the matter, and believe that such categorisation is incorrect or inaccurate, to ensure uninterrupted access to your Bitget account, please complete your Level 2 Identity Verification (Proof of Address/KYC2) as soon as possible. Please note that if you do not complete the aforesaid verification by November 1, 2026, your account will automatically be categorized as belonging to a resident of Japan.

If you are a resident of Japan, please be advised that gradual restrictions will be applied to your account starting on November 1, 2026. Any remaining positions will be forcibly closed from December 31, 2026 onwards. We will provide detailed instructions on the next steps and how to manage your assets in upcoming communications by email.
