U.S. stocks close mostly lower on popular tech stocks, Nvidia down more than 6 percent
The three major U.S. stock indexes closed mixed, the Dow rose 0.67%, the Nasdaq fell 1.09%, the S&P 500 index fell 0.31%, most of the popular technology stocks fell, Nvidia fell more than 6%, Broadcom fell more than 3%. Semiconductors, computer hardware and software applications were the top losers, with Ultra Micro Computer down more than 8%, Dell Technologies, Qualcomm and ARM down more than 5%, Nano Semiconductor down more than 4% and Asmax down more than 3%.
