SEC Delays Decision on XRP and Dogecoin ETF
Foresight News reports, according to The Block, that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced on May 20 the postponement of the decision deadline for the XRP Trust Fund proposals submitted by 21Shares and Grayscale, as well as the Grayscale Dogecoin Trust Fund ETF proposal. The SEC stated in the document that this move is based on the legal and policy issues involved in these proposals and emphasized that this does not mean the commission has reached a conclusion on the related issues. Additionally, the SEC has delayed the decision on Bitwise's proposal to allow staking in an Ethereum ETF. Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst James Seyffart pointed out that regardless of who leads the SEC, the institution typically uses the full approval time, with the earliest approval expected by the end of June or early July, but more likely to occur in early Q4.
