According to Phoenix Finance, renowned economist Fu Peng stated at a financial forum that as artificial intelligence impacts the financial industry, technology is entering a new stage characterized by artificial intelligence and blockchain, marking the advent of the true data era.

He analyzed that against this backdrop, all financial models will undergo transformation, including trade, payments, wealth storage, and even the functions of central banks, all of which may be gradually replaced. Financial transactions, transfers, payments, and value storage scenarios will progressively be built on blockchain technology as the underlying architecture, essentially relying on data and computing power. He stated that the world is moving from a “petrodollar” system to a new monetary system centered on computing power, reflecting a technology-driven evolution. In this context, tokens have become an important factor of production. Just as oil was in the industrial era, tokens are now the core production element in the digital and information era, powered by blockchain technology. Fu Peng believes that the financial system will be reshaped accordingly, and in the future, there may be a situation where there are no banks, brokerages, cross-border payment systems, or SWIFT system. The current global financial system is developing in this direction; for example, a large part of settlements and clearing in Africa has already been achieved via “wallets” and blockchain technology, with data exchange alone enabling completion.
