Self-custody wallet Kresus launches crypto asset inheritance service
Foresight News reported, according to Decrypt, that the self-custody wallet Kresus has announced the launch of the Kresus Inheritance service, which enables users to create secure inheritance plans for their cryptocurrency assets. It does not require sharing private keys or complicated recovery procedures.
Kresus stated that the inheritance feature costs $99.99 per year and is built into the Kresus wallet. This service allows Kresus users to designate beneficiaries, who can only access their portfolio after a preset inactivity period ends. During the transfer process, private keys are never shared. Users always maintain full control over their assets while they are active. Kresus does not custody user assets. Unless the preset inactivity period ends and the inheritance process is triggered, wallet owners always retain control.
