The world's largest copper mine expansion project has been launched

Glonghui, July 10｜Australian mining company BHP has announced that its Escondida copper mine expansion project in Chile has obtained its first significant environmental approval. The Antofagasta Environmental Assessment Committee in Chile has approved initial works involving sulfide leaching and power upgrades. This move marks the official launch of a series of expansion projects with a total investment of up to $14.7 billion.
