Deutsche Bank: Massive inflow of funds drives a significant surge in technology sector holdings

The team led by Parag Thatte stated that among various quantitative strategies, the equity allocation ratio of volatility-controlled funds has risen to a high level, and commodity trading advisor funds' equity holdings have also reached the upper half of historical ranges. Holdings in mega-cap growth stocks and the technology sector have significantly increased to overweight ranges, with the growth in large-cap technology stock holdings being even more pronounced. Equity funds, bond funds, and money market funds have all seen substantial net capital inflows, with inflows of $56.4 billion, $31.3 billion, and $39.5 billion, respectively. Notably, technology sector funds performed exceptionally well in terms of capital inflows, recording a net inflow of $18.8 billion.
