According to reports, the official account of Cyberspace Administration of China today released an announcement regarding seven generative AI services for mobile that have completed registration. Among them, Apple Technology Development (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.'s "Apple Intelligence" large model was registered on July 8, 2026, and is intended for use on Apple smartphones. This suggests that AI features for the Chinese version of Apple smartphones may be launched sooner than expected. It is understood that Alibaba is among the partners for this AI function. Previously, Alibaba Group Chairman Joe Tsai stated that Apple held discussions with several Chinese companies and ultimately chose Alibaba.
