Analysis: Large Bitcoin bullish options worth $1.65 billion were traded today, traders optimistic about the market later this month
BlockBeats reported that on July 16, Greeks.live researcher Adam stated that there was a significant increase in large bullish Bitcoin options trades today, with a total of 25,766 BTC call options traded, representing a notional value of approximately $1.65 billion. Among them, nearly 10 thousand sets of $70,000/$72,000 call bull spread options expiring at the end of this month were traded, making them the most actively traded contracts.
Adam noted that with only about two weeks left until the end-of-month expiry, the large-scale purchase of out-of-the-money call options about 10% higher than the current price reflects the market's optimistic outlook for the second half of July. However, the use of cost-effective bull spread strategies also indicates that capital remains focused on speculative positioning rather than aggressive betting.
