U.S. stock market pre-market: Semiconductor, memory, and optical communication sectors see slight gains; SK Hynix ADR rises nearly 7%
BlockBeats news, on July 23, according to market data from a certain exchange, before the US stock market opened on Thursday, the semiconductor, memory, and optical communication sectors all saw slight gains.
Semiconductor stocks rose across the board: Lam Research (LRCX) up 1.31%, Intel (INTC) up 2.63%, Applied Materials (AMAT) up 1.98%, and Arm (ARM) up 0.56%.
The memory sector led the gains: SK Hynix (SKHY) up 6.91%, Micron Technology (MU) up 3.07%, Western Digital (WDC) up 2.5%, SanDisk (SNDK) up 1.85%, and Seagate Technology (STX) up 2.6%.
Optical communication concept stocks also moved higher: Astera Labs (ALAB) up 1.39%, Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) up 4.06%, Coherent (COHR) up 2.33%, Credo (CRDO) up 2.52%, and Lumentum (LITE) up 3.13%.
