SK hynix Cheongju P&T7 cleanroom to be put into operation three months ahead of schedule

Odaily reports that SK Hynix is accelerating construction of its Cheongju P&T7 advanced semiconductor packaging plant, bringing forward the opening of its first cleanroom by about three months. According to industry sources on July 23, SK Hynix now expects to open the first cleanroom at P&T7 as early as July 2027. The company had previously announced a target of October 2027.

An industry insider revealed: "SK Hynix has recently started the bidding process for utilities and infrastructure projects for the P&T7 cleanroom ahead of schedule. Internally, the company expects the cleanroom to be operational about one quarter earlier than originally planned." Some equipment-related bidding projects failed to attract bidders and are currently being reissued. Industry sources anticipate that all bidding for the utility infrastructure will be completed by around August at the latest. (STAR Market Daily)
