(1) Masahiko Loo, Senior Fixed Income Strategist at State Street Global Advisors, pointed out that recent reports of US and Japan jointly intervening in the yen suggest that the US may be more willing than previously assumed by the market to resist disorderly yen depreciation in order to prevent unnecessary pressure in financing markets. (2) Loo added that the AI investment boom is creating enormous financing demand, and large tech companies are increasingly channeling cash into capital expenditures instead of reinvesting in US Treasury bonds—this trend is further intensifying market pressure.
