Marriott signs deal with Blacksand to develop 10 hotels in Saudi Arabia, adding 1,300 rooms
Reuters2026/09/01 16:22- Marriott signed a multi-property agreement with Blacksand in Q2 2026 to develop 10 hotels in Saudi Arabia over four years.
- The deal is expected to add more than 1,300 rooms across luxury, premium, select-service, extended-stay brands.
- Design Hotels agreed to add 18 Palisociety-operated properties across 10 US destinations, representing more than 1,000 rooms.
- Marriott signed City Express by Marriott projects in Brazil: 200 rooms in Recife, 150 rooms in Granja Viana, Cotia.
- Marriott agreed to bring The Luxury Collection to Lake Tegernsee in Germany, with a 119-key resort planned to open in 2029.
