Vertical Aerospace Opens Valo Aircraft Assembly Center in UK

06:31 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Vertical Aerospace (EVTL) opened an Aircraft Assembly Centre at Cotswold Airport in the UK to support certification and commercial production of its Valo eVTOL aircraft, the company said Friday. The facility adds 60,000 square feet of assembly space and is designed to produce more than 25 Valo aircraft annually, with assembly of the first certification-conforming aircraft expected to begin in Q4 2027, the company said. Vertical said the centre will support certification testing and initial deliveries, with a separate higher-volume production facility to be announced in Q4 2026 as it targets Valo Type Certification in 2029, it added.
