MAK Acquisition Delivers Notice of Breach to Uni Express

07:11 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- MAK Acquisition (MAK-U.TO) delivered a notice of breach to Uni Express pursuant to the purchase agreement among the two companies governing the proposed reverse take-over by MAK of Uni, it said in a statement late Thursday. The company believes Uni Express' business and financial performance has deteriorated since the announcement of the proposed deal. MAK believes this constitutes a material breach of the purchase agreement. The delivery of the notice of breach triggers a 15 business-day cure period. MAK intends to exercise its rights to cancel the agreement, if Uni Express is unable to cure the breach within such period, it said. Shares of MAK Acquisition closed down 2.8% to $10.01 on Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
