Bloomberg has introduced a new stablecoin dashboard for its Terminal platform, designed to give financial professionals enhanced access to onchain data such as supply, issuance, and transaction metrics across major stablecoins.
Bloomberg adds stablecoin dashboard to Terminal, covers 98% of market
Comprehensive onchain data now available
The dashboard, powered by blockchain analytics provider Allium, features stablecoins with circulating supplies exceeding $100 million. This threshold captures more than 98% of the entire stablecoin market, as stated by Bloomberg. The platform enables users to compare various stablecoins based on metrics such as overall supply, issuances (mints), redemptions (burns), transfer volume, and velocity.
Activity can also be broken down by blockchain network and the type of asset being pegged, including both fiat currencies and commodities. The new feature is integrated into RWAS on the Terminal, giving users access to onchain stablecoin analytics alongside established tools for fixed income, foreign exchange, and money market analysis.
Mini dictionary: Allium is a blockchain data platform providing advanced analytics, metrics, and data feeds for the cryptocurrency industry, serving institutions and enterprises seeking comprehensive onchain data.
Terminal integrates digital asset growth
The Bloomberg Terminal is a leading platform for real-time market data, analytics, trading, and communications, widely utilized by banks, asset managers, and other financial institutions. Bloomberg has offered Bitcoin pricing on the Terminal since 2014 and now provides pricing, reference data, unique identifiers, and benchmarks for 50 different cryptocurrencies.
The dashboard builds on Bloomberg’s efforts to integrate digital asset data with traditional finance tools. By providing detailed onchain stablecoin metrics, the company aims to bridge the gap between cryptocurrency markets and institutional investors.
Stablecoin market surpasses $300 billion
The launch comes at a time when the stablecoin sector continues its expansion. Data from DeFiLlama shows that the stablecoin market capitalization has exceeded $306 billion.
| Tether (USDT) | ~$184 billion | ~60% |
| All other stablecoins (combined) | ~$122 billion | ~40% |
| Total stablecoin market | $306 billion | 100% |
Tether’s USDT remains dominant, representing roughly 60% of the total, as tracked by DeFiLlama. The continued rise in stablecoin adoption has increased demand for transparent and reliable data among institutional traders and investors.
Bloomberg stated that its Terminal dashboard now offers financial professionals access to stablecoin supply, issuance, and transaction activity across more than 98% of the market, leveraging blockchain data delivered by Allium.
