Cardano Price Prediction: Can ADA Hold $0.21 as Cardano Foundation Presses SEC on Digital Commodity Rule?

Cardano price prediction for October 24 stays bearish below $0.2197, the level ADA needs to reclaim after pulling back to its rising trendline.

ADA is holding its rising trendline from the June low for now, trading at $0.2169, up 2.28% today, just above the 0.5 Fibonacci level at $0.2132. It still sits below all four daily EMAs, so a daily close above the 100-day at $0.2197 is the first step toward a recovery.

The 50-day and 20-day EMAs at $0.2273 and $0.2293 and the 200-day at $0.2391 stack above that level. RSI at 41.82 sits under the neutral 50 mark and below its average of 44.83, so momentum is still leaning down.

ADA looks more likely to stall under $0.2197 than reclaim it on October 24, and a daily close below $0.2132 would put $0.2000 in play.

Type Price Why it matters
Resistance $0.2197 100-day EMA
Resistance $0.2273 50-day EMA
Resistance $0.2310 0.618 Fibonacci level
Support $0.2132 0.5 Fibonacci level, beside rising trendline
Support $0.2000 Round level, weekly zone flagged by Crypto Tice
Support $0.1954 0.382 Fibonacci level

The Cardano Foundation said on X that the SEC classified ADA as a digital commodity, not a security, earlier this year. That classification currently appears only in the explanatory preamble to the proposed Regulation Crypto Assets, not in the rule text, and the Foundation wants the gap closed.

It co-signed a letter with Stellar Development Foundation, Hedera, Aptos Labs, Ava Labs and Chainlink Labs that asks the SEC to:

  • Define digital commodities: Treat them as assets whose value comes from a blockchain’s own operation and from supply and demand, not from profits that depend on another party’s management.
  • Separate network tokens from financial claims: Native tokens like ADA pay transaction fees, secure networks and enable governance, and none of that gives holders a claim on a company’s future income.
  • Carry forward earlier rulings: Keep the classifications already identified in the SEC’s March 17, 2026 interpretation.

The group argues that explicit rule language would give developers more certainty about where to build.

About $206 million in leveraged positions were liquidated over 12 hours, and ADA fell roughly 3.73% at the time of filming, forming a bearish engulfing candle, where a red candle fully covers the one before it. ADA has since bounced to $0.2169 on TradingView and is holding its rising trendline.

LuckSide called the drop an initial reaction to words and said similar scares have faded before without follow-through, which fits the bounce so far. It said ADA needs to hold its structure, with a breakdown pointing to a retest near $0.19, and named next week’s FOMC meeting as the next event to watch.

In his read, ADA has $0.3294 as its next level while it stays above $0.1970. He described it as a map rather than a trade.

LuckSide Crypto also pointed to 100,000 farmlands in India now registered on the Cardano blockchain. The milestone belongs to 5am.earth’s agricultural trust layer, which puts farm data on-chain so records can be verified and reused across the ecosystem.

LuckSide said it shows Cardano being used in the real world at a time when enterprises, institutions and governments are weighing the technology.

ADA holds above $0.2132, closes above the 100-day EMA at $0.2197 and clears the 50-day at $0.2273 and the 20-day at $0.2293. That would open the 0.618 Fibonacci level at $0.2310, with the 200-day EMA at $0.2391 beyond it. A fade in the Iran headlines, which LuckSide says have faded before, would fit this path.

ADA closes below the rising trendline and the 0.5 Fibonacci level at $0.2132 and slides toward $0.2000, the zone Crypto Tice flags. A close below that level would expose the 0.382 Fibonacci level at $0.1954. A repeat of the sell-off LuckSide describes would fit this path.

What is the Cardano price prediction for October 24, 2026?

ADA stays bearish below $0.2197 and could rebound toward $0.2310 if it closes above the 100-day EMA and clears the 50-day and 20-day averages. A daily close below $0.2132 would put the $0.2000 level in play.

What is the key support level for Cardano?

The 0.5 Fibonacci level at $0.2132, which sits beside ADA’s rising trendline, is the nearest support. Trader Crypto Tice also flags the $0.2000 zone, where ADA has reacted three times on the weekly chart.

Is Cardano a security or a commodity?

The Cardano Foundation says the SEC classified ADA as a digital commodity, not a security, earlier this year. That classification currently sits only in the preamble to the proposed Regulation Crypto Assets, and the Foundation and five other organizations have asked the SEC to write it into the rule itself.

Why is the Cardano price dropping?

According to LuckSide Crypto, crypto sold off after renewed US-Iran concerns, with about $206 million in liquidations over 12 hours and ADA down roughly 3.73% at the time of filming. ADA has since bounced to $0.2169 on TradingView, though it still trades below the 100-day EMA at $0.2197.

AI Capital Expenditure Faces a Dilemma: Accelerating Puts Pressure on Cash Flow, Slowing Down Undermines the Growth Narrative

Nomura Securities believes that the AI investment narrative is mired in an internal contradiction: if hyperscale cloud providers accelerate capital expenditures, their free cash flow will continue to be drained, raising doubts about the sustainability of financing; if they slow down, it would indicate a loss of confidence in AI demand and profitability expectations. Both paths lead to sell-offs. The crowded long positions accumulated during the AI agent boom in September have triggered large-scale stop-losses under negative catalysts, spreading to US Treasury bonds, exchange rates, and commodity markets, resulting in systemic deleveraging.

AI trading collapse: Will Anthropic postpone its "Super IPO"? The "scheduled listing date" in mid-November is approaching.

The time window is extremely tight—according to SEC regulations, the S-1 filing must be submitted by next week at the latest, and prediction markets estimate the probability of a listing within the year at around 80%. The sell-off in the AI sector has cast a shadow over the listing prospects, and the previous plan to go public in September has already fallen through. Several market participants say that Anthropic may face pressure to delay its listing, but some analysts point out that the company's urgent need for capital may drive it to stick to the original plan.
