CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield climbs
Reuters2026/08/10 13:00The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Monday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed.
The loonie CAD= was trading 0.1% lower at C$1.3948 to the greenback, or 71.69 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3934 to 1.3964.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR rose 3.8 basis points to 3.681%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.6719%.
U.S. September crude CLc1 futures rose $1.51 to $79.69 a barrel on Monday.
